Guess who’s back? Objective sponsor RegTech For Better Government event

Objective are proud to be the Lead Sponsor for The RegTech Association’s RegTech For Better Government event for its second year running.

Did you know Australia is the third largest segment of RegTech producers in the world? And it’s continuing to grow. The need for a safe place to showcase the potential of RegTech while discussing the challenges that surround it is essential and this event aims to bridge the gap for learning, connection and future collaboration.

The second in the 'Government as buyers' series, this event is for those working within Government or wanting to understand, and see, how Government is embracing RegTech. Hosting is our very own Objective Global VP of RegTech, Ben Hobby who’ll update on the current state of the RegTech ecosystem and draw from our learnings from the Government Regulatory Technology Report 2022. Then you’ll hear real-world case studies presented by Government regulators. The session will conclude with a panel discussing RegTech opportunities and current challenges facing Government.

Government case study

Queensland Rail will tell us about their implementation of Objective RegWorks. They’ve recently moved to a cloud-based solution and have upgraded to the Objective IQ user interface. They’ll answer:

  • What was the problem they were trying to solve?
  • How did they then approach getting the right solution?
  • Since they’ve deployed the software, what’s been the impact?
  • What have they learnt?

Panel discussion

We’re looking forward to participating in a rich panel discussion with our customer NZ Department of Conservation (DOC). Desiree Brown, Manager Government Services/Privacy Officer, will shine a light on how Objective RegWorks facilitates their public Official Information Act requests and ministerial requests.

The panel discussion will be led by Ben Hobby, and will also be joined by Mark Adams, Senior Executive Leader, Strategic Intelligence and Coordinator, Innovation Hub, Australian Securities and Investments Commission and Kerrie Burgess, Director, Digital & Program Delivery, Community Engagement Branch, Better Regulation Division, Department of Customer Service.

We were so pleased with the success of the inaugural RegTech for Better Government event held by the RegTech Association that we were determined to be the Lead Sponsor for the second consecutive year.
